My friend Bob Allen introduced me to the Combo Pan Roast at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since I live several hours away from Las Vegas, I wanted to make this recipe at home and tried to get the recipe everywhere, to no avail. So I decided to try and duplicate it at home.
This recipe was developed to imitate the Pan Roast that is very popular at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino Oyster Bar. It is also available at many of the Station Casinos in Las Vegas, a place in Reno, and at other oyster bars around the country. I personally developed this recipe over months of trial and error, and after sampling several bowls. A recent focus group agreed that this recipe tasted almost identical, to the real thing.
I spent many hours perfecting this recipe, so I truly hope you enjoy making it. When you get a chance to try it out, be sure to drop me a note to let me know your thoughts, and if you have any feedback. My wife and I still get out to Las Vegas from time to time (sometimes we meet Bob and his wife there), and we love to go to the Palace Station to get the real thing. Hope to see you there some time!
Best wishes, and thanks again!
